In case you missed it, yesterday was the fifth annual Africa Podcast Day. Started in 2020 by Africa Podfest, the day is dedicated to celebrating all things podcasting on the African continent.
This year, Afripods hosted a full day livestream of panels, masterclasses and conversations in partnership with the Association of African Podcasters and Voice Artists (AVPA).
From topics like the joys of podcasting, to the role of diaspora podcasters in shaping the narrative around Africa and Africans, Afripods did not disappoint when it came to curating its programme. The platform brought voices from across the continent together – including Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia and Sudan – to share their insights and perspectives across a total of nine engaging conversations.
