3. Podcasters make their mark on the TIME100 Creators list
TIME has released its 2025 TIME100 Creators list—and nearly half of the honorees are podcast hosts, including big names like Mel Robbins, Alex Cooper, Steven Bartlett, Joe Rogan, and Hailey Welch. Among them is comedian Theo Von, host of the podcast, This Past Weekend, who was featured in the “Leaders” category. You can find the full list of winners here.
4. Spotify returns pod.link to original creator
In a notable move, Spotify has handed back pod.link—the cross-platform podcast linking tool—to its original developer, Nathan Gathright. Originally launched in 2018 and later acquired through Spotify’s purchase of Podsights in 2022, pod.link powers over 1.7 million links across the web. This transition ensures continued stability for existing users while giving control back to its founder – read more about it here.
