1. iHeartMedia and TikTok Announce Major Multiplatform Partnership

This week, iHeartMedia and TikTok revealed a first-of-its-kind collaboration that brings together creators, podcasting, radio, and live events under one umbrella. The partnership includes the launch of a TikTok Podcast Network, co-branded creator studios in LA, New York, and Atlanta, and even a new “TikTok Radio” station on iHeart. 

2. Podcast Movement Evolutions Heads to SXSW

Sounds Profitable and Podcast Movement are taking a bold new approach by merging their 2026 Austin event into SXSW as a fully free experience. Running March 13–15, the program will offer daily panels, livestreamed content, and 10-minute solo presentations selected through community pitching and voting. Read more about it here!

3. All-Ireland Podcast Awards Celebrate Their First Winners

Ireland’s podcasting community marked a milestone with the inaugural All-Ireland Podcast Awards, held in Limerick on 13 November. With strong entries across public broadcasters, independents, and commercial publishers, the awards highlight a fast-growing Irish audio landscape. These were just some of the winners:

4. Webby Awards Open Submissions for Their 30th Year

The Webby Awards kicked off their 30th annual call for entries, inviting podcasts and digital audio projects from around the world to submit for recognition. As one of the most globally visible honours for internet excellence, The Webbys continue to elevate standout storytelling and innovation across formats — and podcasts remain a prominent category as the medium evolves both creatively and technically. Deadlines close 19 December 2025!
