1. Podcast Movement 2025 Week

This week was Podcast Movement Week in Dallas, Texas! The 12th annual event saw thousands of creators, podcasters and industry experts gather together for four days jam-packed with insightful sessions, engaging workshops and networking opportunities. The week wrapped up with the exciting announcement that next year’s Podcast Movement will be held in New York City — will we see you there in 2026?!

2.  Sounds Profitable merges with Podcast Movement

On the note of the Podcast Movement, this week also saw the company announcing their merger with Sounds Profitable in a massive seven-figure deal. Known for its research and advocacy, Sounds Profitable will continue operating under its brand, with co-founder Bryan Barletta stepping into the role of President of Podcast Movement. 3. The 100 Greatest Podcasts of All Time

Left Of Dial Media recently dropped a 100 Greatest Podcast of All Time list. Left of Dial’s Essential Listening Poll brought together 300 audio creators, podcast hosts, and writers across the globe to curate the list – featuring undeniable powerhouses, surprising hidden gems, and global favourites, you can find the full list here. 

4. AFRICON 2025 heads to Atlanta

Save the date: AFRICON is happening from September 18–20, 2025 in Atlanta. Bringing together African and Diaspora changemakers, creatives, podcasters and entrepreneurs for three days of panels, music, film, and networking, this year’s event is set to be a celebration of all things Africa and its diaspora.
