  1. Canva Create 2025 announced

Canva Create 2025 is set to be Canva’s biggest event yet, and if you’re a podcaster, you don’t want to miss it. On 10 April 2025, Canva Create will take place in the heart of Hollywood Park, Los Angeles, bringing together some of the most creative minds in the industry. This year’s event, titled Canva Create: Unchartered, promises to be packed with inspiration, education, and innovation – you can read all about it in our post here.

  1. JAR Audio announces competition for emerging women in podcasting

JAR Audio has announced its third annual Emerging Women in Podcasting Pilot Competition, inviting upcoming creators to pitch their podcast ideas for a chance to have a professionally produced pilot episode. The competition aims to support women in overcoming the challenges they face in the industry by offering a full suite of production services, including creative strategy, mentorship, and technical support. Submissions  close on 01 May 2025, and pitches of any genre are welcome!

  1. The Lovie Awards 2025 entries open

The Lovie Awards 2025 entries are now open! Europe’s most prestigious and only truly pan-European awards, The 15th Annual Lovie Awards recognize excellence across the fields of culture, technology, and business on the internet. This year’s awards invite podcasters to enter across 8 Features categories – including a new Best Video Podcast category – and 14 Series categories, with entries closing on 09 May 2025.   1. Michelle Obama at SXSW with her newly launched podcast

Michelle Obama, together with her brother Craig Robinson, were part of the action at SXSW this week. The sibling duo recorded a live episode of their newly launched podcast IMO, where they’re joined by special guests to tackle audience questions with practical advice, relatable anecdotes, and plenty of laughs. From dating and relationships to parenting and financial planning, IMO sees the iconic First Lady at her most relaxed and honest.

  1. Lemonada Media and Meghan announce new podcast series

Lemonada Media has announced a new podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder, hosted by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, premiering on 08 April 2025. The series will feature eight episodes, released weekly, featuring candid conversations with female entrepreneurs about the challenges and successes of building a business. The show also offers a behind-the-scenes look at Meghan’s own entrepreneurial journey with her brand, As Ever.
