1. Meghan Markle pauses Confessions of a Female Founder
Meghan Markle has confirmed that her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder with Lemonada Media will not return for a second season – at least for now. Speaking on Aspire with Emma Grede, Markle said she’s currently focused on building her lifestyle brand, As Ever, but sees another season in the future when she’s in a different place in her founder’s journey.
2. Marc Maron to wrap up WTF after 16 years
After nearly 1,600 episodes, podcast pioneer Marc Maron has announced he’s ending WTF with Marc Maron later this year. On the Australian podcast scene, Journalists Megan Pustetto and Alex Jae have launched Kind Regards, a new podcast network aimed at championing bold, female-led content. 4. Infinite Dial Australia 2025 report released
More news from the Australian audio space: Edison Research recently released The Infinite Dial Australia 2025 report. The report explores Australians’ audio consumption across AM/FM, DAB+, and digital platforms, alongside broader trends in online media usage and technology adoption. This year, it found that commercial radio reaches 15 million Australians weekly, with AM/FM and DAB+ radio still the most popular in-car audio source – you can find all the stats from this year’s report here.
5. Publisher Podcast Awards 2025 winners revealed
This year’s Publisher Podcast Awards celebrated standout shows from across the industry. From over 160 entries and 120 shortlisted podcasts, Political Fix by The Financial Times took home the coveted Publisher Podcast of the Year 2025 award – you can find all of this year’s winners here.
