2. There’s been an increase in African-American Podcast Listeners
With the podcast industry growing larger and larger on a daily basis, it should not come as a surprise that podcasts are becoming more popular within the African-American community as well.
Research has been conducted by the Signal Hill Insights tracking podcast listening in the United States, and data indicates that there has been a continuous increase in the percentage of African-American monthly podcast listeners within the United States.
In the past year alone, there has been a 10% increase in African-American podcast listeners, and the research also shows that there are specific niches that African-Americans tend to be drawn to. The niches in question are sports, music, and Religion/Spirituality.
What do you think has contributed the most to the surge in African-American podcast listeners?
