3. DRUM Magazine Announces Women Power List of 2024
Throughout the month of August, DRUM Magazine has honoured women through the DRUM Women Power List of 2024. This list celebrates South African women in various industries who have made a name for themselves and women as a whole.
Legends such as Abigail Kubeka and Yvonne Chak Chaka, radio personalities such as Relebogile Mabotja and Nandi Madida as well as podcasters and entrepreneurs, such as Liz Lesoalo all grace this list with their presence.
As Women’s month comes to an end, we take this time to celebrate, not only these amazing women on this list, but all the phenomenal women of the world.
The full DRUM Women Power List of 2024 is available on the DRUM website.
4. Afripods brings back ‘Behind The Mic’ series
With the APVA Awards fast approaching, Afripods is bringing back the ‘Behind The Mic’ series, which is a series of conversations where the nominated podcasters will (virtually) sit down and converse as we count down the days to the APVA Awards.
The first two episodes will be taking place on the 26th and 28th of August, respectively, on X Spaces, with the rest of the episodes unfolding as we draw nearer to the award ceremony.
Various podcasters will be part of the conversation, so head over to Afripods and/or APVA‘s social media pages to keep up with the full schedule and times.
